The Our Home, Inclusive Community Collaborative mission: To promote, support and develop inclusive, diverse communities. Our first community, Cathedral Park Cohousing is under development in Portland, OR. Our work is to promote, support and develop additional communities in the Portland area and throughout the United States.

Board President and Chair
Founder of Our Home, Inclusive Community Collaborative, Alicia has over 21 years of community involvement as a disability inclusion and housing advocate and is the proud mother of a strong-willed young woman whose diverse interests include basketball, Fritos and opera. Her daughter experiences Mowat-Wilson, a rare genetic syndrome, the impacts from which are widespread and significant. Her daughter, Neva, has been a strong influence in Alicia’s mission to promote inclusive life opportunities for families and individuals who also experience disability.
A 2017 graduate from the Institute on Development and Disability Leadership in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program through Oregon Health Sciences University and 2007 graduate of Oregon Partners in Policy Making, she is a member of the Oregon Developmental Disabilities Coalition, the Fairview Trust Advisory Council, and represents OHICC as a member of the Inclusive Housers Network, a national network of organizations facilitating innovative inclusive housing solutions.
Alicia has served as the Program Coordinator for the Northwest Down Syndrome Association Kindergarten Inclusion Cohort and has made numerous national presentations as a strong advocate for inclusive communities, education and life.
Previously, with her professional background in landscape and commercial interior design, Alicia was the Director of Interior Design for Sienna Architecture, and founder of Grasshopper Garden Design, an independent landscape design firm. Alicia is an active advocate and parent mentor who believes that the inclusion of ALL, regardless of race, color, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability or gender identity is necessary for a vibrant and healthy community.

Deb has a strong interest in communities that include all and the cohousing model. This brought her to the Our Home, Inclusive Community Collaborative in 2014. Since then, she has served as a volunteer and collaborator and now as a committed Board member.

Alec has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his law degree from Boston University. He has over 25 years of experience working in private practice, as in-house counsel and in government relations. Along the way, he’s worked with various non-profit organizations in both a legal capacity or as a board member. Alec brings a business background and key political relationships to Our Home.

Brian works as an independent consultant to multiple organizations in the nonprofit sector,
helping them to refine their voice and leverage their mission and vision toward successful
funding of their long-term strategy and programming objectives. He works primarily with
organizations affecting change by providing housing, protecting the environment, providing
instruction and performance opportunities in the arts, and working to ensure that everyone has
enough to eat. Brian stepped away from a successful career in marketing and communications
to devote his energy to work that has the highest potential to make a positive impact in the
world. He holds a master’s degree in writing and spends his free time cooking, playing the
drums, and making art.
Jason has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Radford University in Virginia and has been working in the hotel industry for over thirty years. He has spent his career working for global brands supporting real estate developers and entrepreneurs who focus on the development and operation of franchised hotels.
Jason lives in Colorado Springs, CO is married with three daughters and has a personal passion for the development of the inclusive cohousing model as a long-term solution for himself as well as his daughter who needs full-time care, independence and to be part of a supportive community.
Elizabeth “Libby” Quinn, MSW, CSWA is a researcher, educator and social worker with over five years of experience in the areas of organizational behavior, disability justice and public policy. Her research and clinical work center the experiences of people with chronic illnesses and disabilities. As a Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, she supports the development and management of academic programs for social entrepreneurs wanting to understand power and use their own to effect positive social change in their organizations and society more broadly. Clinically, Quinn utilizes psychodynamic technique and narrative therapy to provide support for individuals and families, many of whom are navigating new disability diagnoses. Her research is participatory in its design and focuses on the impact of power dynamics between healthcare providers and their patients with disabilities. In addition to HKS,
Libby currently works at Oregon Health and Science University and Vista Counseling and Wellness Center in Portland, OR.
